U.S. traffic fatalities are a somber reminder for Michigan drivers to be more careful while behind the wheel. Earlier this week, Erie Insurance released a report detailing which distracted driving activities lead to these fatalities among U.S. drivers.
The report was based on data obtained from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and factors in accident fatality figures over the 2010 and 2011. It’s important to note that distracted driving refers to the practice of drivers taking their eyes or mind off the road for a minimal amount of time.
