This story is why we love Michigan and Michiganians. Seventy-nine-year-old Evie Branon awoke from a coma and had only one request. No, it wasn’t to go to Disney World, it was to see Bob Seger in concert. Cool, right?
Branon reportedly was in a comatic state as the result of a stroke until a bump on the head in 2011 knocked her memory back into place. While Branon has seen Seger in concert several times, she is still unsure as to why this was her first request.
Branon has been at the Willowbrook Manor nursing home and employees of the facility are rooting for the Michigan resident.
“I’ve never seen this ,and it was just something that was really touching to me,” said Willowbrook Manor administrator Michelle Cross. “That this lady had lost a lot of her life, and she’s getting it back, but I wanted to give her what she missed.”
Branon is reportedly working on getting her strength back so that she can hug him.
