allegan-countyRon Jackson Agency was proud to present $720.00 to Tracey Robrahn, resource coordinator for ACFPC. In 2009, the Allegan County Community Foundation created the ACFPC. Since that time, sixteen pantries have become members and rally around the same goals – feeding the hungry of Allegan County. Together they provide food for over 11,000 individuals each month! The goals of the Collaborative are to network the pantries to share resources, support families, and educate one another on available assistance programs. One inspiring example of the work ACFPC does was the cereal drive during the month of May…”Because hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.” They continued this effort throughout the summer and as of August they had collected 26,800 boxes of cereal and $8,000.00 to purchase more boxes. They were able to provide one box of cereal per child every other week. Special thank you to RJA’s own, Jaime Merriam, for introducing us to this amazing organization. RJA is proud to contribute to such a worthy effort. Please go to the Allegan County Foundation website to learn more: www.alleganfoundation.org.
